Overlooking the Loire Valley, the Demeure de la Vignole offers 8 personalised rooms. Located 5 miles from Fontevraud Abbey, it is an ideal place to visit the south Loire Valley. The hotel is an 18th century mansion set in the heart of an ancient village, on the edge of the Loire valley, overlooking the river Loire. It is next to a 15th century manor and a 16th century troglodyte castle in the Saumur-Champigny vineyards. The manor built by the lords of La Vignole in 1450 is said to have been home to Queen Marguerite d'Anjou towards the end of her life. It is a listed building and was preserved intact.
